Samsung exec reveals how Galaxy Fold is better than Huawei’s foldable phone Mate X
Samsung was the first to launch its Galaxy Fold foldable smartphone last month and was few days later overtaken by Huawei, which unveiled its Mate X that had no notch, larger screen and easy workaround for the fold with a unique, patented hinge system. While some critics online were quick to announce the Mate X as the better foldable device out of the two, a Samsung executive has not revealed why they could be wrong.
As reported by Australian Financial Review website (via Android Authority), the Samsung’s executive vice-president of R&D, Eui-suk Chung has said that the Galaxy Fold has ‘several key advantages’ over the Mate X.
One of the key reasons supporting this claim is that “You open it like a book. You close it like a book. It’s much more natural than doing it the other way around, so we went for that even though it presents the harder technical challenge,” says Chung.
