Samsung, Apple lead India’s 5G smartphone market in Q1 2023: CMR

NEW DELHI: Samsung and Apple led India’s 5G smartphone market in Q1 2023 with a 23% and 17% share respectively, according to the latest report released by Cybermedia Research (CMR) on Friday.

The share of 5G smartphone shipments grew 14% year-over-year to reach 41% in the January-March quarter of 2023, according to CMR. “India’s 5G smartphone momentum continued through Q1 2023 with 34 new 5G launches,” it said.
