Sacred Gamed: Pirates raiding OTT warehouses

Sacred Games, the highly acclaimed first original Indian series by Netflix, which returned to subscriber screens on Wednesday night, is finding its thunder stolen by rampant piracy.

Pirated videos of the much-awaited Season 2 of the hit series are already available on messaging app Telegram and multiple websites on the Internet. While some of these websites are known for phishing and spreading malware, the Telegram channels dedicated to Sacred Games season 2 pirated content have thousands of members, according to a review by ET.

Separately, the Internet and Mobile Association of India and Alliance (IAMAI) is in talks to work with Maharashtra Cyber Digital Crime Unit (MCDCU) to seek their help in bringing down pirated content of their members that include Netflix, Amazon Prime, Zee5 and Alt Balaji.
