RU to start four radio certificate courses this Oct

In keeping with the ever increasing demand for trained professionals in the field of radio, Ranchi University (RU) will be starting four certificate courses this October. The six- month courses will be conducted by the varsity’s community radio show- Radio Khanchi 90.4 FM.

RU has formed a committee to make the syllabus and decide on the fee structure for the courses. The proposal is likely to be presented to the academic council by August 15 and aspirants can enroll for the new programs from October. RU Pro Vice Chancellor Kamini Kumar has been appointed as chairperson for this committee.

The courses- Radio Jockey, Promo Producer, Copywriter and Radio Production Management will be open to all while students who are already doing there under graduation and post graduation from RU can also enroll for it. Each course will have about 20 seats.
