Rising ChatGPT influence sends alarm bells ringing in the US corporate circles
ChatGPT fever is spreading fast in the US corporate circles. And while employees may find the generative artificial intelligence-powered chatbot handy, most employers don’t share their enthusiasm. Security firms and companies have raised concerns, however, that it could result in intellectual property and strategy leaks.
What employees use ChatGPT for
According to a Reuters/Ipsos poll, many workers across the US are turning to ChatGPT to help with basic tasks. These include drafting emails, summarising documents and doing preliminary research. The Reuters/Ipsos poll of 2,625 adults across the United States had some 10% say that their bosses explicitly banned external AI tools, while about 25% did not know if their company permitted use of the technology.
