RIL to buy 33% in Brookfield, Digital Realty data centre JV
MUMBAI: Reliance Industries (RIL) will invest Rs 378 crore for a 33. 3% stake in an Indian data centre venture promoted by Canadian investment firm Brookfield and NYSE-listed Digital Realty.
RIL will also infuse an additional Rs 622 crore in the venture to facilitate its growth in the future. As a result of the stake-purchase agreement, Brookfield and Digital Realty’s interest in the data centre venture will reduce to 33. 3% each. Adani Group, which is also setting up data centres in the country, has said that it intends to emerge among the three largest players in the data centre industry by 2030.
