Reliance Jio’s new plans likely to be 15-20% cheaper than other telcos’: Analysts
NEW DELHI: Reliance Jio’s anticipated “all-in-one” plans – priced up to 40% higher than previous plans – are likely to be 15%-20% cheaper than the latest plans that Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea rolled out recently, Bank of America Merill Lynch (BofAML) said on Monday.
Jio on Sunday said that it is introducing its new plans which will offer up to 300% more benefits. These new plans will be effective from December 6, 2019.
“We think the incremental 300% benefit which Jio is talking about is by offering more data allowances. In our view that incrementally doesn’t entice users much beyond 1.5 GB. Even after these hikes, we believe Jio will continue to be 15-20% cheaper than the incumbent operators,” BofAML mentioned.
