Reliance Jio’s 5G user base crosses 100-million mark, Bharti Airtel at 75 million

Kolkata: Reliance Jio is reckoned to have crossed the 100-million mark of pure 5G users at March-end while closest rival Bharti Airtel has ended the fiscal fourth quarter with nearly 75 million 5G subscribers, on the back of rapid pan-India rollouts, people aware of the matter said.

Networks testing and analytics firm Ookla said India’s top two mobile carriers, Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel, were the primary drivers of 5G in the country, making significant efforts to provide 5G coverage across the nation through rapid deployments.
