Reliance Jio users, your mobile bill is set to go up

Mobile users, get ready to pay more. Just a day after Airtel and Vodafone-Idea announce that they will raise tariffs starting December 1, arch-rival Reliance Jio too has made a similar announcement. In a statement, Mukesh Ambani-owned telecom operator Reliance Jio said that that it will increase tariff for its users “in the next few weeks.”
“Like other operators, we will also work with the government and comply with the regulatory regime to strengthen the industry to benefit Indian consumers and take measures including appropriate increase in tariffs in next few weeks in a manner that does not adversely impact data consumption or growth in digital adoption and sustains investments,” reads the company’s statement.
The statement further adds that the company will “compete on the basis of quality and service in the marketplace and as a customer-obsessed organization.”
