Reliance Jio to launch Bharat GPT

New Delhi: Reliance Jio Infocomm, India’s largest telecom service provider, is working with the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay to launch ‘Bharat GPT’, a large language model specifically tailor for India’s needs, said chairman Akash Ambani.

Speaking at the annual IIT Bombay TechFest, Ambani said the company is also “comprehensively thinking” to launch an operating system for smart televisions.

“We have been working on a project with IIT Bombay to launch a Bharat GPT programme,” he said, while speaking about the partnership between Jio and the premier tech institute which goes back to 2014.
