Reliance Jio leads in user additions in Oct as telcos end slide: Analysts

New Delhi: Telcos in India added a net 20.3 million mobile phone users to active subscriber rolls in October after seven straight months of decline, Emkay Research said in a report analysing data from the regulator.

Reliance Jio Infocomm added a net 14.4 million active subscribers and Bharti Airtel added 6.8 million active users, while Vodafone Idea’s numbers declined by 700,000, according to the report. Expansion in active users was mostly led by launch of JioPhone Diwali offer at ₹699, according to ICICI Securities.
