Reliance Jio deploys additional 15MHz spectrum across Karnataka to enhance subscriber experience

NEW DELHI: Reliance Jio Infocomm (Jio) on Friday said it has deployed an additional 15MHz spectrum across Karnataka to enhance the subscriber experience.

This deployment will help it double the bandwidth available for usage in the 850MHz band while the 2300MHz band will be enhanced by 25%.

It may be recalled that the telco had acquired a total of 488.35MHz spectrum (850MHz, 1800MHz, and 2300MHz included) in all 22 circles across India in the March spectrum auctions conducted by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), at a cost of Rs 57,123 crores for a period of 20 years.
