Reliance Jio announces Rs 102 unlimited plan for Amarnath Yatra pilgrims

Reliance Jio has announced a new prepaid recharge plan for Amarnath Yatra pilgrims at Rs 102. The new recharge plan offers unlimited local and STD voice calls along with free 100 SMS daily. As far as mobile internet is concerned, the plan offers 500MB of daily free 4G data and once the daily cap of 500MB expires, the internet speed will throttle down to 64Kbps till midnight. The Amarnath Yatra plan comes with a validity of seven days only and is available only in the Jammu and Kashmir telecom circle.
Interestingly, this plan will not provide free access to Jio apps and subscribers need not opt for Prime membership. Those interested in getting this plan, will have to get a local SIM card from Jio outlets in the region. Also, once the 7-days validity expires, subscribers will not be able to recharge further and continue with the mobile number as it is a one-time usage plan.
