Redmi X with Snapdragon 855 chipset, pop-up selfie camera to launch soon

Xiaomi is prepping to launch a new flagship Redmi smartphone soon. Dubbed ‘Redmi X’, the new Xiaomi smartphone is expected to launch in China on May 14.

Redmi’s General Manager Lu Weibing has so far confirmed the smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 chipset. Redmi X will presumably be the cheapest Snapdragon 855 chipset. Following its expected debut in China, the smartphone could later arrive in India as Poco F2. Weibing also clarified that the smartphone will not be called Redmi X and will instead have a better name.
