Realme’s first 5G smartphone is coming on January 7

Realme, the smartphone company that was born as Oppo’s sub-brand, is all set to launch its first 5G smartphone, Realme X50 5G, in its home country China on January 7. Realme has announced the launch date of the smartphone on Chinese microblogging website Weibo. The poster reveals two colour options of the upcoming smartphone.
Previously, the company had confirmed that the Realme X50 5G handset will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest mid-range processor — Snapdragon 765G — that was launched in January earlier this year along with the flagship Snapdragon 865 SoC.
Another information that is already confirmed about the smartphone is that it will feature a pill-shaped front camera module at the top-left corner of the device. The module consists of dual sensors, revealing that the X50 5G will come with dual selfie camera. Also, the Realme X50 5G was teased by the company’s CMO Xu Qi Chase where he confirmed that the smartphone will come with support for dual mode 5G connectivity. This will include standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) 5G networks.
