Realme sells 5.2 million smartphones during festive month

Chinese smartphone maker Realme said that it recorded a domestic sales figure of 5.2 million smartphones over the last month on Flipkart on account of the festive season.

The company in a statement claimed that it registered a massive 160% growth from last year and is currently positioned amongst the top 3 smartphone brands in India as per a Counterpoint report.

The handset maker further added that it’s global shipments for Q3 2019 stands at 10 million and it has secured rank 7 in the global top 10 smartphone list.

“We are delighted to once again emerge as the no. 1 preferred choice on Flipkart during festive days. Our 5.2 million smartphone sales figure is an actual and credible sell-out data which is different from the usual sell-in numbers, which the other brands have been promoting,” Madhav Sheth, CEO, Realme India, said.

Recently, the phone manufacturer was also announced as the No.1 Quality smartphone brand as per CMR’s Mobile industry consumer insights survey (MICI) 2019.
