Realme may launch cheapest quad camera smartphone in India on August 20

Realme is going to launch its Realme 5 series that will include two smartphones — Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro — on August 20 in India. To recall, it was already confirmed by the company that it will sell the two handsets on Walmart-backed Indian e-commerce portal Flipkart and will feature a quad-camera setup. A tweet by company’s India CEO Madhav Sheth has revealed a couple of new things about the upcoming handsets.
Among them, one of the important ones is what the price of the handsets may be. As per Sheth’s tweet Realme 5 series will include, “world’s 1st Quad camera smartphone under 10k 1st in India” While it doesn’t necessarily mean that both the handsets will be under the Rs 10,000 mark, it may be possible that the base variant of one of the handsets — most likely Realme 5 — may be under Rs 10,000.
