Realme may have more ‘bad news’ for Xiaomi in India

After taking Xiaomi head on in the Indian smartphone market, arch rival Realme has already announced its plans to launch an affordable fitness band to counter the popularity of Mi Band. Reports now suggest that Realme is looking forward to launching affordable smart TVs in 2020 to check the growth of Mi TVs.
As smartphone brands are continuing to shift to products like wearables, laptops, TVs and others, Realme’s strategy to go forward with the TV launch will surely add to the already competitive market.
As far as the Realme TV range is concerned, the company’s chief marketing officer Xu Qi Chase hasn’t shed much light on it. On the sidelines of the launch of Realme X50 5G, Chase simply mentioned that the brand will launch TVs in 2020. The Realme TV will most likely run Android and it would be interesting to see whether it comes with support for Netflix and other popular content platforms out-of-the-box or not.
