Realme eyes top online position by Diwali; says ramping up production

NEW DELHI: Chinese handset maker Realme is making investments to grow its smartphone business in India during the festive season with an aim to become the largest online brand by Diwali even as it currently struggles with supply issues that are limiting its ability to address the demand in the market.

“We are making investments in India ahead of Diwali…we are targeting nothing less than 20% market share during the festive period,” Madhav Sheth, chief executive officer of Realme India, Europe and North America, told ET during his first interaction after his elevation.
