Read Sam Altman’s message to the company after returning as OpenAI CEO

Sam Altman returned to lead OpenAI as CEO after he was ousted about 10 days ago. Soon after his reinstatement, OpenAI got a new initial board, Mira Murati continued as CTO, and Greg Brockman, who quit after Altman’s firing, returned as President.

As the dust settled in the OpenAI office, Altman sent a message to company employees. He thanked his fellow OpenAI employees and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella for having their backs and for ”welcoming all of us”. He also announced that Microsoft will be included in the new board as a non-voting observer.
