Amazon has announced that it is laying off more than 100 employees from its gaming division. In a memo sent to employees, Christoph Hartmann, vice president, Amazon Games, said that Amazon plans to support its focus on content. “We will continue to invest in our internal development efforts, and our teams will continue to grow as our projects progress,” he said in the memo.
Amazon has laid off more than 27,000 employees in the last few months. According to a report by CNBC, the just announced layoffs are a part of the 9,000 job cuts the company announced last month.
