RCom verdict sends strong SC message to other defaulters: Shriram Subramanian, InGovern Research

A stern verdict has come from Supreme Court, asking Reliance Communications to pay up Rs 550-crore dues within a stipulated timeline of four weeks. The question is how will RCom cough up the money?

We do not have the answer for that but last time Supreme Court had ordered, Reliance Communications had agreed to pay but subsequently, they had not communicated anything back to the Supreme Court. From that perspective, one has to view this. At least, Reliance Communication should have said they are unable to pay or whatever defence that had put at that time but since they had agreed to pay and they had not communicated anything, that could be the grounds for Supreme Court taking this view.
