Ramesh takes charge as BSNL’s new enterprise head

NEW DELHI: The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) appointed V Ramesh as a new director for enterprise business at the state-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL).

“The competent authority is pleased to appoint V. Ramesh, chief general manager (CGM), to the post of Director (Enterprise), BSNL,” the department in a notification said.

Serving as telco’s chief of Gujarat telecom circle, Ramesh has been appointed for a four-year term until his superannuation on July 31, 2024.

In March, the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) selected Ramesh for the post of Director – Enterprise at the state-owned telecom company, which was being held by Arvind Vadnerkar on an interim basis following the exit of BL Varshney.
