Rajan Anandan is full-time angel with Sequoia Capital

BENGALURU: Rajan Anandan, the face of Google in India who brought an entrepreneurial streak to the search behemoth, is leaving after an eight-year stint with the company.

He joins Silicon Valley’s marquee venture fund Sequoia Capital as a managing director starting August.

“8 amazing years. 850 million internet users across India and SEA. Many billions of revenue and fastest growing region in the world. Incredible team that thinks big and executes superbly,” Anandan, who was also vice-president, Southeast Asia and India for Google, wrote on his Twitter handle.

Vikas Agnihotri, currently Google’s country director for sales, will be its interim managing director.
