Quick Heal partners Big C Mobiles in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana

PUNE: IT security and data protection firm Quick Heal Technologies said on Tuesday it had entered into a strategic partnership with Big C Mobiles, a South India based mobile retail chain.

This will enable Quick Heal to tap into Big C’s retail presence of over 225 mobile stores in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and increase the adoption of next-generation mobile security solutions in the region.

A recent study by industry body Assocham and PwC has estimated that the Indian smartphone user base would swell to 859 million by 2022 – becoming twice the size it was in 2017.

This development will be accompanied by an explosion in the average monthly data consumption per device. Meanwhile, digital payments transaction value is likely to grow to $135.2 billion by 2023. This makes Indian mobile users vulnerable to cybercriminals.
