Quick consultative process must to resolve Wistron violence case: ESC

NEW DELHI: A quick consultative process should be adopted to resolve the violence case at Wistron’s Kolar facility since the subcontracting production model by Apple has a huge potential in India and such incidents may not bode well with the ecosystem, said Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC) on Friday.

“Industrial peace and harmony are critical to keeping the production process going and there is nothing that cannot be solved through amicable discussions, involving labor commissioners and other machinery in respective states,” said ESC Chairman Sandeep Narula.

The contract manufacturer also produces IT products for Lenovo and Microsoft, in addition to assembling the iPhone SE.
