Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 launched for mid-range smartphones
Qualcomm has released a new chipset for mid-range smartphones – the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, built on 4nm process node. The chip will power Xiaomi’s upcoming Redmi Note 13 Pro.
The Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 is manufactured on a 4nm process technology, and is intended to serve as a budget-friendly alternative to the Gen 8 chips for phone manufacturers. The octa-core processor has four performance cores clocked at 2.4GHz and the rest of them can reach a peak clock speed of 1.95GHz. There is no word on the GPU, but the chip can support displays of FHD+ resolution at up to 144Hz.
