Qualcomm says Apple number 1 priority right now, what this means for iPhone fans
Qualcomm has launched its flagship processor for Android smartphones for the year 2020 but the chipmaker also shed some light on its development plans for the iPhone. According to a report by PC Mag, Qualcomm president Cristiano Amon has said that the company is working with Apple to launch a 5G iPhone as fast as they can.
“Priority number one of this relationship with Apple is how to launch their phone as fast as we can. That’s the priority,” Amon said.
Previous reports have hinted about the possibility of 2020 iPhones to come with 5G support, this statement from the chipmaker’s president further reaffirms the claim and could possibly mean that with the next iPhones, Apple is going to enter the 5G era.
Given that the scheduled launch of the 2020 iPhones is set in September, it is probably past the stage of development at this point.
