Qualcomm CEO hints about one of the biggest changes Samsung may be planning with Galaxy S23 series

Samsung’s Galaxy S series smartphones have come in two variants almost since the time the company introduced the flagship series. One powered by Samsung’s in-house Exynos chip and the other powered by Qualcomm’s top-tier Snapdragon chipsets. But now it seems like Samsung would be skipping its own Exynos chipsets for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon.
For a long time, the Snapdragon variant was reserved for the US while other regions were getting the Exynos one. However, that changed recently when Samsung launched the Galaxy S22 series. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 powered model was made available for other regions outside the states while the share of Exynos-powered models was reduced.
At the recent earnings call for the fiscal year 2022, Qualcomm’s head Christiano Amon said that the two companies – Qualcomm and Snapdragon – have signed a multi-year deal. As a part of this deal, Snapdragon chipsets will power the upcoming flagship Galaxy products.
