Qualcomm announces Snapdragon 8c, 7c for Windows laptops with mobile processors

Maui: Continuing its efforts to promote Windows-based laptops that don’t run on traditional PC hardware, Qualcomm announced two new chipsets for Windows PCs at its Snapdragon Tech Summit, in Maui, Hawaii today.

The new platforms — Snapdragon 8c and 7c — join the older Snapdragon 8cx in increasing the company’s portfolio for such laptops. The three combined will go up against the likes of Intel and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) to jostle for space in the PC market.
