PWCL seeks Ravi Shankar Prasad’s intervention to recover Rs 165 crore from BSNL, staff unpaid
NEW DELHI: Optic fibre cable supplier for the Centre’s mega BharatNet program, Paramount Wires & Cables Limited (PWCL) has sought Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad’s intervention to get its dues worth Rs 165.53 crore cleared from the state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), and following cash-crunch, it has unpaid employees’ salaries since July.
In a letter to Prasad, dated August 16, seen by ETTelecom, PWCL director Parth Aggarwal said, “Our employee salaries have not been paid for the last two months. This has never happened in our history.”
