Prison Radio launched in Panipat District Jail

Prison Radio was launched in District Jail, Panipat on Saturday by Jail Minister Ranjit Singh, bringing joy to the inmates.

Earlier in December, 2020, six inmates of Central Jail, Ambala, five inmates of District Jail Panipat and 10 inmates including five female inmates of District Jail Faridabad were provided Radio Jockey training by Dr. Vartika Nanda, Founder of Tinka Tinka Foundation.

Speaking on the occasion, Ranjit Singh said that this initiative will help in converting Prisons into Correctional Homes. Additional Chief Secretary, Home and Jails Department, Rajeev Arora, said that jail radio is a unique initiative for positive engagement which will facilitate better communication among prison inmates and help in bringing out their positivity and creativity.
