PoI denial to R-Jio

The Digital Communications Commission (DCC) in its meeting held on July 24, 2019 has decided to accept Trai’s reconsidered recommendations on the quantum of levying of penalty on three incumbent mobile operators – Bharti Airtel, Vodafone, and Idea.

In an earlier meeting held on June 17, 2019, DCC was of the unanimous opinion that violation of quality standards needed to be penalized, but referred the matter back to Trai for reviewing the reasonability of quantum of penalty.
