PLI scheme to enable telecom sector become a part of global supply chain: Sanjay Dhotre

NEW DELHI: The recently-unveiled Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for the telecom sector would enable it to become a part of a supply chain worldwide, and Indian manufacturers have already making significant inroads in multiple countries, Sanjay Dhotre, Minister of State for IT, Telecom and HRD said.

“The government has announced the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for sectors including telecom to become a part of the global supply chain,” Dhotre said, adding that the Indian manufacturers have made significant strides in several countries.

Speaking at the India Telecom – 2021, organised by the Telecom Equipment and Services Export Promotion Council (TEPC), he further said that the industry should work together to take it to new heights.
