PC shipments higher than pre-Covid levels: Lenovo India

New Delhi: The Indian PC market has been an outlier in the global context with shipments sharply higher than pre-Covid levels, outpacing developed markets like Japan in terms of total addressable market (TAM)., said a top Lenovo executive. The company plans to add manufacturing capacity in India which is the Chinese major’s most important international market and export from there too.

Lenovo India managing director Shailendra Katyal said that the India market still has an upside due to low household penetration of PCs ranging around 10-12%, which is set to increase dramatically, on the back of a refresh cycle kicking in with consumers looking to replace older PCs with AI-powered ones.
