Part-2: BSNL 4G Tender

The empowered technology group (ETG) headed by K Vijay Raghavan, principal scientific advisor to the Prime Minister, has in its virtual meeting on November 25, 2020 declined to consider views of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) which had shown reluctance to use 4G core network from domestic companies. He told the telecom secretary Anshu Prakash and BSNL CMD PK Purwar not to waste time and execute the project as per the directions issued earlier. In respect of escrow account for source code of the equipment suppliers, he conceded relaxations.
