Parliamentary Panel to Govt

The parliamentary panel came out with a report on “Expansion of Rural BPO and Challenges faced by them”. In the report, the panel has suggested that the government should consider framing a dedicated policy for BPO sector in coordination with state governments to bring out future roadmap for the sector. It notes that the sector has generated revenue of $30.1 bn during 2016-17 with a share of 23 pc in Indian IT-ITeS exports valued at $26 bn and provided employment to 11.52 lakh persons.
