Over two-thirds of companies eye gen AI in cybersecurity
More than two-thirds of companies globally are planning to deploy generative artificial intelligence tools to upgrade their cybersecurity solution within the next year, according to a survey by PwC. Gen AI tools can proactively detect vulnerability in the system and suggest methods of defense. Many cybersecurity solutions already include an AI-based prediction system that can identify threats and deploy preventive solutions without any human assistance.
“GenAI can help identify patterns, anomalies and indicators of compromise that elude traditional signature-based detection systems,” the survey noted, adding that platforms are licensing their large language models in tandem with their cybersecurity tools.
