Our cloud is 2nd gen cloud because of autonomous services: Oracle’s Shailender Kumar

Oracle was among the early tech multinationals to set up operations in India, back in the 1990s, and today employs around 40,000 professionals in the country, the largest outside the US.

In recent years, it has focussed on building its cloud business and has set up two cloud regions in India – in Mumbai and Hyderabad. In an e-mail interview, Shailender Kumar, regional managing director, Oracle India discusses Oracle India’s growth over the years, competitive environment in the cloud business, Oracle’s strategy, and more.
