OTV doesn’t cooperate in police investigation

Police on Thursday went to OTV’s Sarua office in Khordha district to question media organisation’s project site consultant Randhir Singh against whom complaints regarding alleged casteist abuses against two Dalits have been lodged. However, Khordha police team led by SDPO Sushil Mishra returned empty-handed without quizzing him.Mishra said two criminal cases were registered under Atrocities Act with other sections at Baghmari police station against Singh based on complaints lodged by Dalits.

Despite fact that police had intimated Singh earlier, he was neither available nor responded to repeated phone calls. “The police team later pasted a notice in front of Singh’s office intimating him to question him on Friday,” he added.
