OTE Telecom Q2 profit climbs on easing of COVID restrictions

ATHENS: OTE Telecom, Greece’s biggest telecoms operator, posted higher core profit for the second quarter on Thursday, benefiting from the lifting of COVID-19 travel restrictions which helped lift roaming revenues.

OTE Telecom, 46% owned and managed by Deutsche Telecom , said core earnings (EBITDA) reached 310 million euros ($367 million) in the second quarter, up from 290.4 million euros in the same period last year.

Group revenues grew 8% to 827 million euros.
