Oracle Cloud Applications wants to be India market leader in SaaS by 2020

Mumbai: Oracle says that it expects business in India for its cloud application business to grow faster due to its ability to host applications on local data centres, as it would enable customers in regulated sectors such as banking and healthcare to store their user data within the country.

Prasad Rai, Country head for Applications, Oracle India said that with the launch of Cloud Applications on its cloud datacenters in Mumbai, or its ‘Gen 2 cloud region’ on Tuesday, the company will look to become the market leader in SaaS applications in India by the end of 2020.
