Oppo, Samsung, Apple most preferred smartphone brands in premium segment: Survey

NEW DELHI: Oppo, Samsung and Apple have emerged as the top three preferred brands by Gen Z smartphone consumers or in the premium segment (Rs 25000 to Rs 50000) with 78%, 74% and 71% votes respectively, a survey by CMR brought out on Friday.

According to the survey, at least 78% Gen Z consumers see smartphones as a symbol of their lifestyle where 75% feel the devices make them feel powerful in life whiles 72% think smartphones offer them “superior experience through the latest tech innovations”.

CMR said that smartphone upgrades are driving the market, with 55% of the consumers indicating that they upgrade their smartphone every year. However, few consumers are looking to replace their existing brands because of recurring problems, the survey also mentioned.
