Oppo partners Ericsson to upgrade its Communication Lab with 5G R&D capabilities

NEW DELHI: Chinese smartphone maker Oppo said it has upgraded its ‘Oppo Communication Lab’ in partnership with Swedish telecoms gear maker Ericsson for enabling complete 5G research and development (R&D) process, including RF front-end to software protocol updates, as well as, regional testing and tuning.

Oppo in a joint statement said the upgraded lab will enable it to implement the latest 5G technologies in its smartphones and to partner with operators as they expand their 5G services.
