OneWeb signs $50 million deal with Galaxy Broadband to provide satellite connectivity in Canada

NEW DELHI: Bharti-backed OneWeb has signed a $50 million multi-year deal with Ontario, Canada-based Galaxy Broadband Communications to provide low-earth orbit (LEO) satellite connectivity in the country, including the northern territory of Nunavut.

Galaxy provides telecoms services to enterprise customers in Canada. It claims to be one of OneWeb’s fastest-growing distribution partners, having deployed at more than 75 locations throughout Canada, meeting a range of customer needs and connecting anywhere from 30 to 800 users at each site, according to a statement by OneWeb.
