OneWeb, Leonardo join hands to offer LEO service to US Department of Defense

NEW DELHI: OneWeb and Leonardo DRS, a US-based defense contractor, Tuesday signed a partnership to jointly offer low-earth-orbit service for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).

OneWeb will provide its services to expand Leonardo DRS’ information and technology solutions systems, products, and technologies to serve military and government markets.

OneWeb and Leonardo’s partnership will be important to DoD’s naval and maritime systems, ground combat mission command and network computing, global satellite communications (satcom), and network infrastructure, avionics systems, and intelligence and security solutions, as per an official statement.
