OneWeb inks MoU with Northwestel to expand connectivity in northern Canada

NEW DELHI: OneWeb, the low-earth orbit (LEO) satellite communication (satcom) company backed by the Bharti group said it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Canadian telco Northwestel to expand connectivity solutions in northern Canada.

As part of the agreement, the companies will jointly collaborate on opportunities to deliver new connectivity services to remote mines, businesses, and governments across northern Canada using OneWeb’s LEO satellite constellation backbone.
