OnePlus to launch Qualcomm-powered 5G prototype smartphone at MWC

NEW DELHI: Chinese device-maker OnePlus will be launching the first OnePlus 5G prototype smartphone powered by Qualcomm Snapdrago 855 mobile platform at MWC (Mobile World Congress) this year, the company told in a statement.

Attendees will be able to experience 5G cloud gaming on the new 5G prototype device, which will be displayed at Qualcomm Technologies’ booth.

OnePlus said that to prepare for 5G, it established its own research labs and began research on 5G way back in 2016. A year later, it started working with Qualcomm device development.
