OnePlus reveals new camera features coming to its most-expensive smartphone yet
OnePlus has lately rolled out several updates to improve the camera of its OnePlus smartphones. While last month the company released OxygenOS 9.5.5 including major camera upgrades, it plans to roll out more new features soon. In a brief meeting with select media on OnePlus’ camera test lab in Taiwan, the company’s product management team revealed new camera features that will soon be coming to the company’s 2019 flagship phone, OnePlus 7 Pro. It is so far not certain if these features will be reaching other 2019 flagship model, OnePlus 7, as well as the older OnePlus smartphones.
In the briefing, Zake Zhang, OnePlus product manager confirmed that the team is working on bringing a much-requested feature by professional photographers – RAW format in the Pro mode for the 48MP. For now, it is possible to shoot in JPG, JPG (48MP) and RAW formats in the Pro mode. Zhang also confirmed that this feature is scheduled to arrive in OnePlus smartphones within this year. No exact time frame was shared.
