OnePlus 8T Concept phone is here, and it registers user’s breathing

In a surprise announcement, Chinese smartphone brand OnePlus showed off a new concept phone on Monday. Called the OnePlus 8T Concept, the smartphone has electrochromic technology on the rear panel.

But what’s the big deal about electrochromic technology and why OnePlus chose to include this tech in the concept phone?

Designed by OnePlus Gaudi, a team of 39 designers based in India, New York, Shenzhen and Taipei, the OnePlus 8T Concept may seem familiar but it’s different from the existing OnePlus 8T. Well, the concept phone’s rear uses electrochromic materials, which change their colour in response to an applied voltage.
